First Mental Arithmetic comprises six one-per-child pupil books with accompanying answer books, as weil as a single Teacher’s Guide. The series develops children’s essential maths skills and prepares them for the Key Stage 1 national tests. It reinforces maths vocabulary and provides intensive practice, encouraging children to monitor their own progress. All the books can be used flexibly for individual, paired, group or whole-class maths practice, as well as for homework and one-to-one intervention.
